Emma Finucane was born in Carmarthen, Wales and is a British track cyclist specializing in sprint events. Rising from local club Towy Riders, she quickly progressed through the British Cycling Academy to become one of the sport’s brightest talents. She was the youngest British Woman to ever win the individual sprint World Championships. Known for her explosive power and calm racecraft, Finucane is celebrated as a role model for young athletes and was named BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
