POINTS RACE

The Points Race is a distance event decided not by who crosses the line first, but by who accumulates the most points along the way. Sprints are contested at regular intervals throughout the race, with points awarded to the leading riders each time. On top of that, any rider who gains a lap on the main field earns a substantial points bonus. It's a long, strategic effort that rewards both explosive sprinting and the strength to attack off the front.
Scoring Sprints
Points are awarded at intervals throughout the race, typically to the first four riders across the line.
Gaining a Lap
Lapping the field earns a rider a significant points bonus.
Losing a Lap
Riders lapped by the field lose points.
Staying in Contention
Riders must balance chasing sprint points against attacking for laps.
The Long Game
Consistency across the whole race matters as much as any single sprint.
Winner
The rider with the most points at the finish wins.
