In 2022 Sophie became British champion, when winning the Omnium at the 2022 British National Track Championships in Newport. She also won a silver medal at the British National Madison Championships alongside Maddie Leech. She was selected later that year to represent England at the home-held 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where alongside Laura Kenny, Leech, and Josie Knight, she won a bronze medal in the women’s team pursuit at the Games.[8]
